Hypnobirthing
Fear tightens; calm opens. Across four gentle sessions you will learn breathing, visualisation and self-hypnosis techniques that quiet the thinking mind and let your birthing body lead.
What the course entails
Hypnobirthing is practical mind training, not mysticism. You will learn how adrenaline slows labour and how slow breathing, anchored visualisations and conditioned relaxation keep you in the parasympathetic state where birth flows most easily.
Each session blends short theory with long guided practice, and you leave with audio tracks for daily rehearsal — ten quiet minutes a day that compound into genuine confidence by the time labour begins.
What's included
- Four 2-hour sessions, in person or online, for you and your birth partner
- Guided relaxation audio tracks for pregnancy practice and for labour itself
- Three core breathing techniques: calm breathing, surge breathing, birth breathing
- Fear-release work and reframing of unhelpful birth stories you may carry
- Birth-partner script: exactly what to say and do during surges
- A printed course book with affirmations, positions and decision-making tools

- A birth partner with a clear, practised role
- Deep rest in late pregnancy, when sleep runs thin
Common questions
Will I be hypnotised and out of control?
Not at all. Self-hypnosis is focused relaxation — you hear everything, you decide everything, you simply feel deeply calm while doing so.
Does it promise a pain-free birth?
No honest teacher promises that. It gives you tools that genuinely reduce tension and fear, and many parents describe their births as comfortable and even joyful.
What if I need a caesarean?
The techniques shine there too — calm breathing before theatre, grounding during the procedure, and bonding-focused recovery afterwards.
Breathe your baby down in calm and confidence.
