Breastfeeding Help
Feeding is natural, but it is also learned — by you and by your baby together. We offer patient, hands-off guidance in your home until feeding feels like yours.
How we support feeding
Most feeding difficulties are positioning puzzles, not verdicts on your body. In a 90-minute home visit we watch a full feed, gently adjust latch and holds, and check the practicalities — nappies, weight gain, your comfort — so you leave the session with a clear picture and a plan.
We support every feeding choice: exclusive breastfeeding, expressed milk, combination feeding and weaning. Our only agenda is a fed baby and a mother who trusts herself.
What's included
- 90-minute home visits, usually within 48 hours of your call
- Observation of a full feed with gentle, consent-based adjustments
- Latch and positioning toolkit: laid-back, rugby hold, side-lying and more
- Sore nipples, engorgement, blocked ducts and mastitis first response
- Pumping, milk storage and combination-feeding plans that protect supply
- Follow-up messages for a week after each visit, plus referral to IBCLC care when needed
How it works
Tell us early
Call or message at the first sign of struggle — day three is easier to fix than week three.
Home visit
We observe, adjust and practise with you until a comfortable feed happens in front of us.
Your plan
A simple written plan: what to do, what to watch, and when to call again.
Follow-up
A week of message check-ins, and a second visit if feeding needs more time.
Benefits for you
- Help within 48 hours, in your home, when it matters most
- Less pain, better milk transfer, a calmer baby
- Honest guidance on mixed feeding without guilt or pressure
- Clear referral paths if tongue-tie or medical issues appear
Common questions
Shouldn't feeding be pain-free already?
Early tenderness is common; ongoing pain is a signal, not a sentence. Most causes resolve quickly once spotted by experienced eyes.
Do you support bottle feeding?
Wholeheartedly. Paced bottle feeding, choosing teats and formula, and mixed-feeding rhythms are all part of our practice.
Are you lactation consultants?
We are trained feeding supporters, not IBCLCs. If your situation needs clinical care, we refer promptly — and stay beside you through it.
